Hennessey Special Vehicles, the renowned Texas-based hypercar manufacturer, has announced its latest creation—the Venom F5-M Roadster. As the world’s most powerful manual production car, this new hypercar represents the pinnacle of automotive engineering and driving experience.
A Manual Driving Experience Like No Other
At the heart of the Venom F5-M Roadster is a six-speed gated manual transmission, purposefully designed to offer the most engaging and immersive driving experience of any road car. With a staggering 1,817 bhp produced by the Fury V8 engine, the Venom F5-M delivers an utterly intense and physical connection between the driver and the machine. Hennessey opted for a completely mechanical transmission system, forgoing the electronic aids often found in modern hypercars. The result? A visceral, old-school driving experience where the driver is in full control.
John Hennessey, founder and CEO, emphasized the goal: “We wanted to build a manual Venom F5 that truly connects the driver to the car. It’s raw, badass, and pushes driving engagement to the extreme.”
Re-Engineered for Peak Performance
While rooted in the already extraordinary Venom F5, the F5-M Roadster features significant re-engineering. The manual gearbox has been optimized by Hennessey's engineering team to ensure seamless pairing with the Fury V8 engine’s massive output. Brian Jones, Hennessey’s engineering lead, fine-tuned the engine and gear ratios to maintain control while delivering the power to the rear wheels, ensuring thrilling yet manageable acceleration.
Limited Edition, Exclusively Sold Out
Hennessey is building only 12 Venom F5-M Roadsters, all of which have already been sold, each with a base price of $2.65 million. These exclusive hypercars are part of the broader 30-unit production run of Venom F5 Roadsters. Every model features a custom livery, one-off colors, and unique carbon fiber treatments, ensuring that each is a masterpiece of individuality.
Design and Aerodynamics
The Venom F5-M Roadster boasts several distinctive exterior and interior modifications, enhancing its already striking presence. One of the most notable changes is the 55-inch dorsal fin that stretches from the roof-mounted air scoop to the rear deck, improving aerodynamics and stability. The custom livery highlights its aggressive lines, combining exposed carbon fiber with contrasting accent stripes that run from the front to the rear, connecting the car’s exterior with its cockpit.
Inside, the cockpit is designed with the driver’s experience in mind. The elevated aluminum and carbon fiber gear shifter takes center stage, positioned perfectly for smooth, precise shifts. The redesigned central console, featuring billet aluminum details, includes jet-fighter-inspired toggle switches and a dedicated slot for the key.
Nathan Malinick, Hennessey’s Director of Design, shared, “This is a car for bold enthusiasts who want an unparalleled hypercar experience—wild power, dramatic design, and thrilling performance.”
A Legacy of Speed
The Venom F5-M Roadster continues Hennessey’s legacy of producing record-breaking hypercars. The Venom GT Spyder, Hennessey’s previous six-speed manual hypercar, still holds the record for the world’s fastest convertible road car, achieving 265.6 mph in 2016. With its incredible power and redesigned dynamics, the F5-M Roadster aims to push the boundaries of what a manual hypercar can achieve.
Built in Texas, Exclusive Worldwide
Like all Hennessey vehicles, the Venom F5-M Roadster is designed, built, and tested at the company’s headquarters in Sealy, Texas. With 24 Venom F5 models already delivered worldwide, the addition of the F5-M Roadster cements Hennessey’s position as a leader in the hypercar industry. Each model, once sold, is deleted from the brand's configurator to ensure total exclusivity for its owners.
For enthusiasts still interested in owning a piece of this American hypercar legacy, Hennessey offers other models in the Venom F5 range, with inquiries available through their official website or network of retailers.
The Venom F5-M Roadster is more than just a car—it’s a driving experience unlike anything else on Earth.
