UVA was a productive British kit car manufacturer. They started in ~1983 with a Fugitive model which had a rear-mounted VW engine. Rover V8 mid-engined version was named F30 and was introduced in 1985. Next year F33 Can-Am model with more enclosed bodywork debuted. UVA also imported a McLaren M6GT replica made byManta Cars in the USA. In 1986 the original VW-based version M6GTR was added. It had a fiberglass monocoque center section with tubular steel front and rear subframes and was designed to accept a Rover V8 engine and VW transmission.
