TVR Engineering has produced sport vehicles since 1947. Initially it also offered kit-cars. The most famous series include: Grantura (1957-67) and Tuscan / Vixen / M (1967-80). In July 2004 the company was bought by the Russian millionaire Nikolai Smolenskij and is now assembled cars in Malaysia. In 2013 entire ownership of TVR was sold to TVR Automotive Ltd, a UK company led by Les Edgar and John Chasey. A new TVR Griffith was presented in prototype form in 2018, but is not yet in production since then.
