Roding Automobile GmbH is a technology company founded in 2008 specializing in the development and manufacture of lightweight CFRP structures and a small series manufacturer of the lightweight carbon sports car Roding Roadster.
In 2009, a concept study of the Roding Roadster was presented to the world public at the IAA in Frankfurt. After completing the last test drives at the Nürburgring and a redesign, series production of the Roding Roadster began in January 2012. The Roding Roadster 23 celebrated its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012. The first vehicle of the Start Edition, limited to 23 units, was delivered in May of the same year.
The Roding Roadster is a two-seater roadster with a 6-cylinder turbo mid-engine from BMW and has a carbon fiber hybrid chassis with a modular structure and a load-bearing CFRP monocoque. The front and rear end are made of carbon-aluminium hybrid construction.
Production ended in 2013.
