This car was created by Bruce Dixon and Ian Cross from Bognor Regis, West Sussex. Initially, it was named RAM 4S and was intended as a replica of the 1974 Lotus Elite based on Ford Cortina parts. A redesigned hatchback coupe version named Mohawk was introduced in 1989. The Cortina basis was kept, though the suspension was modified. There was a space frame chassis and an unstressed fiberglass body. Any Cortina engine could be used, or a Rover V8 if desired.
