Porsche

Germany

In 1930, Ferdinand Porsche established in Stuttgart his own design studio – the Porsche Konstruktions GmbH, which during the war was relocated to Austria. It was there that in May 1948 the first open model of the Porsche no. 1 was constructed. In August 1948 the production, of the famous 356 model in the cabrio and coupe versions was launched. After the construction of 52 vehicles in Gmund, Austria, in 1950 production was again relocated to Stuttgart, Germany. The Porsche 356 in various versions was manufactured until 1965. At the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show, a completely new 901 model was shown, which in September 1965 went into production as the 911 and was manufactured until March 1998 in four generations.
