JonElis

Lithuania

The JonElis was an electric vehicle built on the Ford Connect platform, featuring a heavily modified body and a three-phase electric motor replacing the original diesel engine. This setup allowed easy retrofitting with minimal tools.

Powered by a 144V battery pack of 45 lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells, the JonElis provided a range of 80-100 km per charge. It featured regenerative braking and a built-in charger that fully recharged the battery in 8 hours.

A battery management system ensured optimal performance and safety by balancing cell charge and monitoring data on a touch-sensitive screen. The vehicle offered low operational costs, around 8 Lt per 100 km, and required minimal maintenance compared to traditional engines.
