Euro Design Engineering was established in 1986 as a partnership of four companies in automotive styling and design: the stylist Aldo Garnero, Joel Bretecher's French studio Sterling Design, the engineering company Tesco and the model-maker Modicar.
Their first concept car was the Saab-based Fjord 9001, introduced at the 1986 Paris Motor Show. The partnership split most likely very soon after, although the brand still exists alongside Garnero's design studio.
