Established in 1849, the company started to manufacture car bodies at the beginning of the XX century. In 1994, Castagna resumed its operations. After a several-year break, the company presented two concept cars at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show: the 4-seat Auge coupe based on Maserati GT and a 2-seat G.C. coupe based on Alfa Romeo with a 3.2-liter 260 hp V6 engine. A few months later the Rossellini coupe with a 5.7-liter 720 hp V12 unit debuted. Since 2003, the company has been offering 25-cm longer, British Mini hatchback cars in 3 versions: the Wagon, the SUWagon and the Woody. In 2005, two more versions based on the Mini were introduced: an open, 4-seat Tender and a 4-seat CrossUP pick-up.
